Mosaic Art

Mosaic Art

Mosaic art is an art in which pieces of wood, copper, tile or metal are cut by a special tool and placed together to form a meaningful picture or calligraphy.
Mosaic art reached its peak in Iran in the 8th century by the manufacture of wooden doors, tables and chairs, which were hand-crafted completly. In Afghanistan, the effects of tile Mosaic art and wood mosaic can be clearly seen in mosques and religious places.
This art has a very wide scope depending on the type of materials and work style, and it is the creator's art that uses what materials and what design to make his work.
